Pilates & GYROTONIC®
in Gunbarrel, CO.
The Method
KOMO Studio is a home studio offering private, personalized instruction in the Gyrotonic and Pilates methods.
Gyrotonic is characterized by fluid, circular movements of the body and a flowing choreography that synchronizes movement and breathing. It strengthens the body while increasing range of motion and flexibility. It benefits both the physical and nervous systems.
Pilates strengthens the body through its emphasis on core control and precise muscular engagement. The incorporation of Pilates into a Gyrotonic practice improves core activation and stabilization as the body moves through its full range of motion.
Sessions at KOMO Studio are tailored to the individual and suitable for all bodies and abilities. They benefit anyone looking to restore or improve strength, mobility, physical coordination, and nervous system health.
The Studio
Gyrotonic equipment provides both resistance and support to the practitioner. KOMO Studio is equipped with the Ultima® XS, the latest Gyrotonic tower on the market. Its adjustable-height handle unit accommodates a wider range of body types and allows for a greater range of standing exercises. This is particularly beneficial for those who need a more upright approach, such as pregnant clients or individuals with vertigo, those who experience discomfort sitting, or anyone seeking a more dynamic, standing-based session.
The studio is also equipped with wall-mounted stall bars and attachments—including a Pilates roll-down bar, push-through bar, pull-up bar, and hanging slings—allowing for virtually all Pilates tower–based exercises as well as Gyrotonic Archway exercises.
KOMO Studio offers Gyrotonic and GYROTONER® exercises on the Ultima® XS, stool- and mat-based GYROKINESIS®, as well as mat- and tower-based Pilates.
